The Project

With a 30-year delay, my sister Katie and I are fulfilling our Mother's dream of publishing an online album that captures her work as an amateur photographer from 1965 to 1995.

It is with great emotion that we fulfill a moral obligation in the form of recognition and gratitude for the parts of Greece that our parents showed us when we were children. We want this to be an expression of honour to the past, but at the same time a hope for a future that will maintain and highlight those special characteristics, for which our country is so unique and at the same time so special.

For my sister Katie and me, visiting these remote parts of Greece, that were untouched and almost inaccessible in those days, forgotten by time, granted us a unique experience that had a lifelong effect on us. This unique journey of our childhood engraved Greece deep inside us forever.

I owe heartfelt thanks to my only friend of 55 years, J.M., without whose contribution not only this, but many other things would not have taken place on this journey of life.
