Crete: a folk painting in Epanosifi Monastery

Time Period: 1976 - 1980

The Epanosifi Monastery (also: Apanosifi ) is one of the oldest Monasteries not only in the Prefecture of Heraklion, but also in Crete. It is dedicated to St. George.

In the monastery today there are valuable relics, gospels, crosses with wood carvings, silver chalice dated 1842, vestments and a lot more.
